Behavioral Economists Have Changed the Way We See the World…And Israelis Continue to Lead the Charge
As Michael Lewis, author of Moneyball, The Big Short, and Liar’s Poker, describes in his newest book, The Undoing Project: A Friendship that Changed Our Minds, our understanding of how human beings make decisions has been turned on its head over the course of past few decades.  It was no accident that the field of behavioral economics emerged from the research not of economists, but of psychologists, such as Nobel Prize for Economics winner, Daniel Kahneman, an Israeli whose collaboration with fellow Israeli, Amos Tversky, is detailed in Lewis’ book.  As opposed to traditional economic model building, which works under the assumption that people weigh costs vs. benefits as part of a rational decision making process, behavioral economists start by asking how actual human beings behave in the real world.   And those behaviors are often times driven by a host of “supposedly irrelevant factors,” many of which our conscious brains do not even recognize.
Introduce yourself to the world of behavioral economics, a field of academic study that is dominated by Israelis like no other.  Serial entrepreneur and former president of Conexx Shai Robkin will share important insights into behavioral economics and how they are being successfully applied by companies and organizations around the world to drive growth and profitability.   All aspects of running a business can benefit by leveraging just a few core principals - sales, marketing, finance, human resources, project management and long term planning.
